500.00 Dollar US$ PTC 8" Footbrake Convertor Beasley
- Location: Beasley, Texas 77417, Beasley, Texas, United States
PTC 8" converter. I originally bought when I was bracket racing my 3400 pound mid 9-second transbrake Coronet with 32x14"x15 slicks. When I converted the car to a NSS car I had ATI build one for it and sent this to them to freshen as a footbrake version of the same car running 31/10.5w slicks. It sat on the shelf for years before I decided to put a 9-second motor in my 11 second Vitamin C. It worked great in it. When I blew the engine in my wagon I stabbed the motor into it and put the Max Wedge back in the Vitamin C and sold it before racing. I didn't change the converter.
I bought the car back as the buyer had a stock before he could race it. I took the car to the track about 10 days ago and we made five passes. The converter is all wrong for a 11-second low compression Max Wedge. I ordered one with a far lower stall (this appears to be a 5500-5700 on a cold day in the Vitamin C) and since I already have a spare in the trailer for the faster cars I offer it for sale. The snout is smooth up and down. What looks like a black ring is just where the pump seal polished bright. You can run your fingernail up and down without feeling any ridge. I believe that the two serial numbers stamped are one for PTC when they built and one ATI when they freshened.
$500 plus $50 for the ride if I ship.
